Olean- Carolyn Ann Bailey of Olean, passed away Sunday (April 7, 2024) at home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness.

Carolyn was born April 6, 1941 in Bolivar, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Margaret Cossaboon Canfield.

Carolyn worked for many years for John Ash Cleaners. She was a member of the Olean Revival Center for 51 years. She loved her flowers, all types. Whenever asked what type of ice cream she wanted at the local ice cream shops, her answer was usually, banana split. She liked to do word search puzzles in her spare time.

Carolyn is survived by her children, William (Jan Kinney) Bailey of Franklinville, Nancy McGonigle of Olean, Debbie Hamilton of Olean, stepson- Rogers Bailey of McColl, SC., Carol (Pete) Bailey-Niemela of Cape Coral, FL., and Joshua (Christine) Bailey of Cape Coral, FL.; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; and her brother, Douglas Canfield.

She was predeceased by her parents, Glenn and Margaret; daughter, Margaret Bailey; stepdaughter, Kay Bailey; great grandson, Michael; brothers, Fran Canfield, David Canfield; sisters, Helen Graves, Dorothy Marinari and Betty Biggins.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Olean Revival Center 146 N 13th St. Olean, with Rev. Ron Frazier officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
